Te Puke Otara hosted the biennial Dressed in Confidence eco-fashion charity show on Saturday 8th May where 10 amazing Pasifika influential role models walked the runway to raise funds for the Dressed in Confidence Wellness Programme.
Whilst preparing for their catwalk debuts, our ladies found themselves in the shoes of all our Dressed In Confidence participants, where they felt both nervous and anxious however nonetheless our role models walked the catwalk with such sassiness and demonstrated that with a bit of self-belief and self-confidence you can do anything you set your mind to.
It was an unforgettable night of fashion, entertainment and delicious food for all and resulted in other Pasifika woman leaders willingly volunteering to walk the runway in the next charity event.
We thank Amanda Nicolle – Director of Industry Partnerships from the Ministry of Social Development who was our keynote speaker of the night and the entire team from MSD for their continued support of our Mana: Dressed in Confidence wellness programme.
We also would like to thank our partners Cut Above Academy, NZ School of Art and Fashion and Duffy Books for their contributions towards the successful night as well as acknowledge Tagata Pasifika for the coverage below:
