KILA’S STYLE TRUST BOARD
FAAIU SEUMANUTAFA - CHAIR
Faaiu (Fai) Seumanutafa is of Samoan descent and hails from Otara, South Auckland. Her upbringing in the Samoan Congregational Christian Church community has provided her with a sound understanding of service and commitment to family and community. She thrives in fast-paced and challenging environments that exercise her quick strategic thinking, troubleshooting skills and showcase her flexibility in operations and approach. Her current professional role is Product Owner within the Pricing & Revenue Management team for Jetstar Airways Australia and previously, Product Owner (automation) & Business Analyst (various teams) for Mercury NZ Ltd, as well as being the Operations Manager for Pacific Fusion Fashion (PFFS) from inception 2016 to 2023, a culmination of her dedication to professional development. She has also completed the Executive Ready Programme facilitated by Woman and Leadership AU/NZ 2021, and the Institute of Directors NZ program, Governance Essentials. An active volunteer for various community organisations and projects, Fai enjoys contributing her skills and expertise to events that she is passionate about.
TRISH NEWSHAM - SECRETARY
Trish Newsham is of Samoan and Canadian descent and has proudly lived in South Auckland all of her life. Most of her professional life has been spent working at Air New Zealand, mainly in operational roles. She now chooses to enjoy more of a work life balance, working part time in the Social Services sector. Her main focus is now on her family, as well as the various community volunteer roles she undertakes. She has over 17 years of experience in community event management and is passionate about seeing our youth strive, and reach their full potential. Trish supports many local charities and is excited to serve and support the outcomes of Dressed in Confidence.
NORA SWANN - TREASURER
Nora Swann has been a board member of the Kila’s Style Trust since the trust was established in 2017 and continues to be involved at both governance and operational levels. Nora’s governance experience includes being an executive board member for the Samoan Business Network in 2019-2020, Youth Lead for Pacifica Women (Manukau) from 2020-2021, on the advisory panel for NZ School of Art and Fashion in 2021, on the advisory board for Samala Robinson Academy 2022-current and a finalist for Emerging Governance Leader category for Women on Boards /Governance NZ 2021.
